How long have you been shooting weddings?
2021 will be my 18th year as a professional wedding photographer, with over 850 successful weddings done.
Are dates provisionally held?
Unfortunately no. A non-refundable booking fee and a signed contract are required to confirm booking. I see a number of clients sharing the same date so first payment of booking fee secures the date.
Do you traveI?
I am based in Pretoria and I do weddings around the country and internationally. My packages include a 100km round trip from Moreleta Park, Pretoria thereafter an additional charge of R4.50/km is applicable. Flights, accommodation & car hire required for destination weddings.
Can you show me a complete set of recent wedding pictures?
On my blog you’ll find some of my recent weddings and my portfolio. However, when we meet at my office; I will present examples of a few full weddings – you will see what a final completed album would look like, rather than just my favourite images that I blog.
Will you tell us how to stand?
Yes, I will guide you but I aim for more spontaneous & real moments through the beloved technique.
Do you take table/group shots of my guests?
No, I do not take formal table/group shots of guests. I do take plenty spontaneous/candid photos of your guests during the evening, their reaction to the speeches, dancing, having fun etc.
Do you take family group shots?
Yes. I limit these to 14 groups/photos due to limited time, but I’m happy to negotiate a couple more as long as time is factored in. You will need to provide me with a detailed list of the different groups at least two weeks prior to the wedding. Please allow enough time when planning your day. Large group photos of all the guests can take up to 10 minutes just to get everyone together.
Do you do engagement shoots?
Yes, I love them! We will discuss the look & feel you want, then decide on the location & wardrobe. Engagement shoots are scheduled during the week on Wednesdays in the late afternoons. Weekends are only reserved for weddings. You will receive 50 high resolution digital images. Engagement shoots include a total of 35km travel from Moreleta Park, Pretoria, thereafter R4.50/km plus tollgates will be charged.
Do we need to meet you before the wedding?
I prefer to meet before the wedding, I find it puts both of us at ease if we can get to know each better. The pre-wedding meeting also allows us to connect and discuss the details of the day. If you are not in Pretoria then we can use Skype to chat.
We want to meet with you, now what?
We can set up a Skype meeting for distant clients to discuss further or you can visit me at my office in Moreleta Park, Pretoria. I am available Tuesdays – Fridays 09:00 – 17:00 and after hours on Tuesdays.
