“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
I am privileged to have one of the best jobs in the world. They say that if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life. Yes, indeed, I am living my dream! Meet the lovely Lara & Jerry from USA. Lara is also living her dream…fulfilling her big dreams; one at a time. Her dream was to have an ‘African Safari wedding”. Well, they were planning their African Safari, which started with a trip on the Blue Train to Cape Town, Singita Boulders Lodge, Victoria Falls & Botswana. Two weeks before their departure to Africa, Lara & Jerry decided to elope while on safari in South Africa.
I was delighted when they asked me to share in this very special occasion. It was the best three days! Not only did we photographed the wedding ceremony but also their safari adventure. By no means am I a wildlife photographer (hats off to those pro’s:) ; it was a great adventure & challenge I will never forget.
Singita Lodge is magnificent, the beauty of the nature & its surroundings is unbelievable. The Field guides; Andy, Dylan & Ricardo did an excellent job tracking the game, and I am so proud to say that we saw the ‘Big 5’ more than once.
“I have just emerged from two weeks of secret keeping and one magical day of wedding festivities! It was beyond anything I could have dreamed…perfectly fitting as that is exactly how I feel about Jerry. We are both delighted to be married! I wish the pure joy could be bottled and shared with you all! Some days all of your dreams collide and create moments you never dreamed of…yesterday was one of those days…nothing but sunshine and happiness!” Lara
What made the road trip even better was that my best friend and fellow awesome photographer Clarisse came along and it was fun fun fun. Thank you Clarisse, I appreciate your friendship more than words can express. x
Dylan our Field guide teaching us about tracking
Such an amazing experience to watch the Cheetah mom playing with her cubs.
Andy, the lovely Field guide taking us on foot to take a closer look at the giraffes.
Kashan, the male leopard being lazy on our early morning safari.
We were so lucky to be in the middle of an obstinacy of about 300 buffalo.
Jerry relaxing a bit before the ceremony
Isn’t she just gorgeous!
Happy tears flowing all over
A quick one before we travel back to reality
